Strong Roots Produce Sweet Fruit
Often when we talk about the fruits of the Spirit as opposed to the gifts of the Spirit we see the fruits as who we are and the gifts as what we do. That's not entirely correct. The fruit of the Spirit is listed in Galatians in the midst of Paul's conversation about how they are to quit fighting and start getting along. He tells them that the fruit of the Spirit should be evident in their lives. This fruit for sure is impossible without abiding in Christ. This fruit is a gift given by God to His people. However, this fruit is evidenced in our relationship with others. During this series we will take a close look at the fruit of the Spirit. We will be challenged to live fruitfully in relationship with those around us.
