The Fruit - Love

With this sermon we will begin looking at the fruit of the Spirit in detail.  First, we will take a look at the situation in Galatia that occasions Paul's description of the fruit.  If we are to live like Christ, our lives will be rooted in Christ and bear the fruit of love.  Last week we learned that althought the fruit is a gift we have to practice living it out in our lives.  Today is no exception.  We can only love others because we are in Christ, but we have to then make an effort to love others.  The Bible teaches it's easy to love those who love us back, but we are required to love even our enemies.  Love is action.  I Corinthians 13 shows us what kind of action love is.
