In this message we will discover peace as a part of the fruit of the Spirit. In the O.T. peace was knows as Shalom. It meant, "wholeness or well being." We learn in the O.T. that is is closely associated with righteousness, and on the opposite end there is no peace for the wicked. Peace is a gift from God and it always comes from Him. Peace begins in our own heart as we experience in Christ this sense of wholeness and completeness. But peace is also something we are to practice with our brothers and sisters. In the context of Paul's writing the readers would definitely have understood he was talking about them living at peace with one another. If we are living righteously in our relationships with Christ, then peace will be possible within our relationships.
