In this message we will discover that patience is a part of the fruit of the Spirit. The Greek word, makrothymis literally means, "a long holding out of the mind before it gives room for anger." In Ephesians, Paul tells us to "bear with one another in love." This patience referred to here is patience with one another. God demonstrates this patience towards us in our sin. As a result we should live like Christ and demonstrate this same patience to others who wrong us. We are called to even love our enemies. Unfortunately our tempers often reign in the place of patience in our families, churches and our world.
