The Greek word Pistis here is often translated faithfulness but it really is faith. Obviously rooted in Christ will result in faith in God. But the faith Paul talks about here is our faith in God to work out our difficulties God is in control of whatever situation you are in the midst of and you can trust Him, you don't have to try and do it all by yourself. This is also a faith in others. A kind of honesty and trust in dealing with our brothers and sisters in Christ that needs to be exemplified in our relationship with them.
